The equal and opposite reaction
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." - Issac Newton
I've been lucky to have grown up skiing at Alta, UT. I skied alpine for 20 years and made the switch to tele for the 2007-2008 season.
Freeing my heel freed me from more than just knee pain. It brought me back to the roots of why I ski. It humbled me. Sharing the joy skiing brings me with my wife Kristin and friends is now more important than pursuing my old selfish endeavors. I now appreciate every fall, trip, turn, faceshot, and air I take. Telemark skiing has opened as many doors as alpine skiing closed for me.
In addition to my skiing pursuits, my academic and professional goals are to contribute all that I can to orthpaedic research and techonology so that myself, and so many others, can maintain the same pace and quality of life spent in the mountains.
Many thanks to Steve Lloyd, Jonathan Cracroft, Andy Burr, Nate Young, Tyler Jackson and Connie Marshal (Alta), and most of all to my wife, Kristin for all your support and friendship.
