Frenchman Coulee
I haven't gotten out much in the last week. Midterms are ramping up in a week, so my climbing exploits have been limited to 3-4 days in the gym every week. But here are some shots from Frenchman Coulee 2 weeks ago with Kristin, Drew Tabke, and Peter who is too tall and strong of a climber for his own good. It's like a Basalt Indian Creek, where helmets are mandaory. Being rookies, we didn't know that......oops

Distractions.
My stream of consciousness went something like this yesterday.
Riding my bike to school. Saw the Reservoir Wall in a faded Marlboro ad....

My first week at school.
I finished my first week of school and UW this week. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. ODE's are coming back to me pretty well. Amidst all the studying, I got out for a quick jaunt up to Mount Si with my friend Sean. I think I'll have the workload handled so I can get out on some longer weekend trips. Here's some photos from the peak that see's 100,000+ ascents per year. WOW.

South Early Winter Spire
I spent a lot of time up Washington Pass this week. Kristin and I hiked up around the Liberty Bell mid-week. I went back this weekend with some friends to give some of the bigger walls a go. This weekend I was able to jump on the South Early Winter Spire, East Buttress Gradve IV 5.9 AO with 2 guys, Ryan and Kevin, who I met at camp the night before. They were super cool to let me tag along. A party of 3 moves a lot slower than a party of four. But our sunset top-out was just about the cooles thing I've ever seen.

Another ski season is starting to ramp up. Movie trailers are coming out. Ski swaps abound. Avi forcast center fundraisers begin.Colors haven't quite began to change in Seattle yet, but Kristin and I are already starting mkae plans, goals, pick lines etc.
Pow Skiing in the Wasatch '08-'09
I just put some footage together from a few deep days last season. Getting super agro for this season!
Getting the lay of the land
After traveling the first few weekends since we moved up to Seattle, I finally got to go see what the Cascades have to offer.
I went up to Alpental and decided Mount Roosevelt would be asolid objective. As a newby, I got started off on the wrong trail, and ended up bushwacking through 2 miles of blackberry bushes. I finally met up with the trail, scratched and soaked. Being on the trail I felt like I was cruising up past Snow Lake and on towards Gem Lake.
Yet another impending deadline....
Yet another impending deadline at the end of this week will keep me pretty busy. We did get out and climb Little Si yesterday. Hoping to make it up to Index this week.
However, I'll be staring at a lot of these till I get it submitted:
