Gasworks
Kristin and I had some fun playing with our cameras at Gasworks last night. I also got a lot of practice writing backwards.

Best day of the season.....at Baker. Go Figure.
I seem to have been captivated by Mt. Baker. I first skied there in February and was blown away by the terrain. I went back over spring break and skied with Garret Grove who was kind enough to show me the goods. And I've been back every week since. LCC qualitiy snow, good lines, easy access. It's all there. And just when I thought the PNW didn't have any good snow.
Baker
Baker has been incredible this week. I miss skiing snow and in snow storms....a LOT. Anyway, there are very few photos since we just skied out brains out.....but here's me and Kristin at the end of yesterday, VERY happy.

Baker was deeper than this today. But this was still a lot o' fun.

Visual Stimulii
On saturday, I had a super chill day of touring with Will from Seattle and his dog Jack. Our goal was to just get a good look at the surrounding BC by Alpental. There were signs of instability on east facing slopes, most other slopes were baked. So we were after "visual" gratification if you will.......so, here's what we got to see.

Baker and environs
After a ROUGH finals week which included my bike being stolen, I was able to escape for a few days up to the N. Cascades. My awesome wife drove me up to Bellingham to meet with Garret Grove. Thanks a TON to Garret and his wife Bridget for their hospitality and lending me a spot to crash in addition to showing me around Baker and environs.
The Mt Baker Ski Area slack-country gave up the goods on Thursday.
Los Fabulosos Dos - Cerro Catedral '10
I yanked this off the AAC's blog. I feel like a wuss....
The Glass is Half Full
I'll admit, I've been pretty pessimistic this winter. Class schedules and weather windows have made unfortunate and untimely collisions. It's been a winter of sacrifice. But hopefully that sacrifice will show in my GPA......9 more days until I'll be free to OverDose on the gnar the Cascades have to offer. Until then, I'll try and think more like Jason Hummel and be more of an optomist.
How to go to the Olympics on a Student Budget
The Olympics are expensive. If you don't have tickets to an event on the mountain, good luck getting to Whistler.
Instead, go to Mt. Baker on your way.
